THE traditional Waveney Youth F. C. end of season presentation evening was held at the Ocean Rooms in Gorleston with all the players as usual receiving complimentary tickets for their own very special evening earlier this month.

The night proved to be a glittering and dazzling occasion with Ex Norwich City captain, Craig Fleming flanked by popular Lowestoft Town F. C. players, Jamie Godbold and Carl Poppy handing out the medals, trophies and managers gifts.

The evening was hosted superbly by Norwich 99.9 breakfast show presenter, Steve Bradley, and the mesmerising skills of freestyler Francis Vu was a very welcome addition to the evening with his football juggling skills.

Lowestoft's two most popular mascots, Roary and the Beach Bunny provided some cuddly fun and over £400 was raised during the charity auction of items donated by Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Norwich City and Lowestoft Town with the proceeds being split between 'Help an East Coast Child' and 'Leukaemia Research'.

Every youth player who represented the Club during the season received a trophy before the players and managers player of the season awards were presented to the youngsters on the stage before the packed audience.

The Club award winners were:

Cantonio Thompson award for the most promising player in mini-soccer: Eamonn Woodham

Referees awards: Ollie Hall, Elliott Hunter & Bradley Elvin

Loyalty award from a youth player: Cory Willis

John High award: Dave Beecher

Volunteer of the year: Tracey Briggs

Coach of the year: Shane Davey
