LOWESTOFT'S first pre-season friendly game of the new season has been postponed after a shortage of players left The Blues unable to field their first team squad.

Joint Blues boss Micky Chapman said: “We've got 14 players away on holiday so unfortunately we have had to cancel. We felt it would be better for Hadleigh if we postponed the fixture until we could put out our first team.”

The game between the Ryman League Division One North and Ridgeons League Premier Division sides was due to take place at Millfield at 2pm tomorrow (Saturday), and now the two side's secretaries are trying to arrange another suitable date for the fixture to be played.
