A GOOD turn out at the LTFSC saw a competitive and high scoring finals night in the Lowestoft Festival Darts League.

First on was the Pot Black A against KWMC C for the second year running, competing for the Eric Gorham Memorial League Knock Out Cup.

This was retained again by the Pot Black A winning 5-1 in a close but decisive game.

Next was the Ken Preece over 60's Veterans Trophy with A Cooper (Kevill Arms) losing out to D Noble (Railway C) 2-0.

Third game on was the Captains Cup between Andy Honeyman (Ex Service HG) and C Harrod (Pot Black A).

Harrod who made it 1-0 and the second leg saw A Honeyman missing vital doubles to even the game only for C Harrod to step in and win 2-0.

After a slow start in the Chairman's Cup from P Briggs (Ex Service HG), managed to power his way through to a 1-0 lead.

The second leg was more evenly matched, but with missed doubles from D James (Hearts of Oak B) P Briggs won 2-0 retaining the cup for the second year.

Honeyman (Ex Service HG) had his work cut out with his fourth consecutive singles final appearance against debutant C Wilson (Uplands CC C). A high scoring match saw the first three legs go with the start, with C Wilson taking a 2-1 advantage, the fourth leg saw Honeyman hit two 140s and Wilson hitting a 180 and first shot at double to win the match, but missed letting Honeyman to step in and steal, levelling the game 2-2.

The fifth and final leg was erratic by comparison, with the first chance falling to Wilson, but with missed opportunities, let Honeyman win his fourth singles title in a row, and his eighth in total.

A Holland (Wheatsheaf) won the U21's Singles Cup.

S Lippett (Old Blue Anchor) and M Wooltorton (Marquis of Lorne A) played in the Champions Most Wins Cup, with Wooltorton winning 3-0.

The Secretaries Cup was competed by the league secretary D Tasker and G Jackson (KWMC C), with Jackson taking the honours 2-0.

The Doubles Cup saw the return of A Honeyman and A Whithead (Ex Service HG) for their third year in the final. C Harrod and E Lark (Pot Black A) stood in their way to make it their third winning title in the trebles.

But with Pot Black missing vital doubles to win HG won with a 70 check out to make three finals and three wins.
