IPSWICH Town boss Roy Keane revealed that he expects to bring in "one or two" new players before the deadline for loan transfers ends next Thursday.

Keane also admitted this morning that Owen Garvan continues to push hard to get back in the first-team picture.

And the Irishman also added that there had been no new interest in his out-of-favour midfielder.

"I've had no calls from other clubs about either Connor Wickham or Owen Garvan," revealed Keane at this morning's press conference.

"But I have been in discussion with clubs about one or two of my players going out on loan, and we might also bring in one or two ourselves. I'm optimistic that we can get one or two in.

"I saw Garvan play for the Reserves last week. He perhaps did a little better in this game, and at least he's getting some games under his belt for Republic of Ireland Under-21s and the Reserves.

"So there would be no worries about him coming back into first-team football. I know his qualities, but sometimes I think we need something different."
