Kirkley and Pakefield FC Notes

THE annual general meeting of the Adult section of K&P Football Club will now take place on Friday, July 9 at 7.30pm in the Kirkley Community Sports and Social clubhouse at Walmer Road.

All existing committee members, prospective new committee members, sponsors and club members are asked to attend.

Kirkley & Pakefield FC are also requiring new, reliable pay-box personnel for the coming season, if any persons are interested please contact club secretary Barrie Atkins or any club official.

On the field this week, K&P returned for the start of pre-season training ahead of what is anticipated to be another “tough” campaign in the Ridgeons League ahead.

With the likes of Leiston already recruiting new players from across East Anglia, first team manager Jon Reynolds said: “The aspiration will be to achieve what we did last year, and yes without the likes of Chris Henderson and Nathan Stone it may take time, but the aim is to have a fluidity amongst the whole club as all the sides play the same way.”

K&P will prepare for the new campaign with a “very competitive” run of pre-season games against Sudbury Town, Bury Town and Needham Market from mid-July onwards.

The club's annual five-a-side competition will be held on Sunday, July 25.
