KIRKLEY and Pakefield got back to winning ways with an enterprising 4-1 victory over King's Lynn Reserves at The Walks.

Nick Shorten's men took a seventh-minute lead when Lee Hunter outpaced his full back and drove a low shot past keeper Rix. Kirkley held the lead until 38 minutes when the goal of the match was scored by a blistering shot from Lynn's Steven Harvey, which flashed past Nathan Pauling from 25 yards.

K&P restored their lead on 54 minutes when a fluke handball decision off Lynn Reserves' defender Greg Lake gave Jamie Stokeld a chance to score from the penalty spot, which he did with aplomb.

On 70 minutes a good Kirkley move ended with Luke Catchpole scoring his first goal of the season for the team then with two minutes left, leading goalscorer Nathan Stone beat the offside trap and walked the ball into the net past home keeper Rix.
