AFTER a very impressive unbeaten January, in which the club could be in line for the team of the month award, K&P begin February with a home match tomorrow (3pm) against mid-Essex side Stanway Rovers.

They have had a good run in the FA Vase losing out in the last round after a replay with St Ives. The Essex side are managed by the experienced duo of Rob Bate and Paul Syms and this will be K&P's first meeting with them this season.

Stanway are a far better side than their current 14th position in the table suggests, so a tough match looks in prospect.

Looking ahead, future fixtures in February see Harwich coming to Walmer Road with trips to Woodbridge. Walsham le Willows and Histon Reserves.

The Easter Monday clash with Lowestoft will kick off at noon with a pre match brunch/breakfast for club sponsors in the Kirkley clubhouse.

The reserves have probably blown their chances of promotion after being doubled by contenders Mattishall 4-1 last week and tomorrow make the trek to Wells on Sea.

After bouncing back from recent reversals, both Kirkley & Pakefield A and B teams will be aiming to continue their winning sequence tomorrow in the Notley's Lowestoft and District League.

Shaun Norman's A team beat Sole Bay United Reserves 2-0 last Saturday with a brace for Luke Graham and tomorrow they have a tough away game at village side Wrentham (2.30pm KO).

K&P B came back from Westhall with a 3-2 victory after being two goals down. Tomorrow Al Graham's side entertain Marquis of Lorne at Walmer Road (2.30pm KO).

K&P Youth have a league match against title favourites Great Yarmouth on Wednesday night at home, 7.45pm, and they hope to be at full strength.
