Kirkley and Pakefield FC to host KBB Grassroots Festival

A youth football festival which has taken place at Ipswich's Portman Road since 2011 is coming to Lowestoft.

Following the success of the annual festival in Ipswich, Suffolk FA have planned the festival with Kirkley and Pakefield football club.

The KBB Grassroots festival will be staged at the club's Walmer Road ground on Sunday, September 8.

Jodie Allard, Suffolk FA football development manager, said: "We are really excited to be bringing the KBB Grassroots Festival to the north of Suffolk.

"The grassroots festival provides us with a fantastic opportunity to host a fun, safe and inclusive football event for our clubs as a thank you for all their hard work."

The Chairman of Kirkley and Pakefield FC, Paul Underdown, said the club was pleased to be offered the opportunity to host the festival.

He said: "We look forward to welcoming players, managers and parents for a great day of football for everyone involved."
