FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round

Walsham-le-Willows 1 Kirkley & Pakefield 1

KIRKLEY & Pakefield - who played from the fifth minute with 10-men - came from behind to force a replay deep into stoppage time of this all Ridgeons Premier League cup tie.

The game exploded into life in the fifth minute when a good move between Ross and Holder resulted in the latter being brought down in the box and Kirkley defender De Coteau being sent off. Cusack put the penalty away to give Walsham the lead.

The 10-men of Kirkley responded in a positive manner but Walsham had the chance to increase their lead after 32 minutes when two scrambled efforts were somehow cleared.

At the start of the second half an excellent run by Chris Henderson caused panic in the Walsham defence as the tide began to turn.

Kirkley were largely frustrated though and there was a lengthy pause, and three yellow cards, after an off the ball incident left Walsham's Holder in a heap.

The visitors scored a deserved equaliser deep into stoppage time though when the dangerous Henderson put away a header following good work by Russell Stock and Nathan Stone.
