Kirkley & Pakefield held their annual player of the year presentation night at a well attended Ivy House Country Hotel.
Club chairman Paul Underdown praised numerous volunteers for help at the club to make it the success it is and thanked all club sponsors and players for their efforts.
The presentation of trophies to all players was made by club president Peter Aldous MP.
AFC Royals U18s' manager Martin Hubble announced the following winners: players' player Adam Munro, manager's player Daniel Munro, most improved player Ewan Holland and clubman Korey Davies.
The New K&P U18's management team of Ross Brown and Henry Wyndham congratulated their team on being runners-up in their league, only losing out on the title by one point to Gorleston. Their awards went to: players' player Jay Barbor and James Baldwin, manager's player Tom Baldwin and best progression player Jake Spooner.
The new BFS Trophy for work and contribution to the club was presented by the chairman to David Donnington who received an engraved silver tankard as well as a standing ovation.
The U23's clubmen of the year were Matty McMillan, Matthew Hunton and Callum Batley while the Jimmy Armes Shield for contributions by a non-player was awarded to Michael Dobson for his voluntary service in assisting head groundsman Michael Leeds.
The Reserves' management trio of Wayne Twomlow, Rob Moore and Adam Boggis all spoke about the ups and downs of their season before announcing the following awards: players' player Harry Creamer, manager's player Michael Tacon and clubman Joel Haverson. Owen French then presented the trophy dedicated to his father, the Gary French Memorial Cup, to Matt Lay who after stepping up from the A team had given superb assistance at training and at matches as well as covering as physio.
The main clubman (persons) of the year award for the Jack Dale Memorial Cup was presented to Kylie Chapman, who had take on the reigns as club secretary and done a superb job, and Louise Underdown, who had done much work behind the scenes at the clubhouse. Both received engraved rose bowls and flowers.
The supporters' first team player of the year was one of the closest ever with Lewis Flower winning it for the third time in four seasons. Vice-chairman and MC Colin Smith congratulated the first team on a fine fifth place finish in the Premier Division of the Thurlow Nunn League, which had only bettered by two fourth place finishes in the 09/10 and 14/15 seasons.
First team manager Mark Willis thanked all his players and his coaching staff of Matt Lay and James Hutchinson.
Young Gerson Soares, new to the club this season, received the trophy for the player with most impact and influence, the managers' young player award went to top goalscorer with 20 goals Cameron Russell and the manager's player award to club captain Jack Herbert while the players' player of the year award was won by young Kyle Haylock for the second year running.
