Storm damage to Ipswich Wanderers' Humber Doucy Lane forced last Saturday's Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division match with Kirkley & Pakefield to be called off on Friday for health and safety reasons.

The match has been rearranged for Saturday, March 24 at 3pm.

This Saturday the Royals will be at Walmer Road for a home match against FC Clacton, who currently stand 18th in the table, five places and six points behind the Royals. Kick-off is 3pm.

Last Saturday at Walmer Road, Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves made it four successive wins when entertaining promotion chasing third in the table Sheringham.

Strikes from Kaidan Goldspink and Lee Will gave them an early lead before Sheringham pulled one back before half-time.

With very wet conditions to contend with both teams played end-to-end football at a fast pace and with some 20 minutes left Sheringham were awarded a penalty for a foul by centre back Harry Creamer who was shown the red card.

Elloit Reynolds in the home goal then made a brilliant save from the spot-kick to prevent an equaliser.

Shortly afterwards the Royals had a harsh free-kick awarded against them just outside the area when Jack Jenner was adjudged to have fouled and he received a harsh straight red card. Fortunately for the nine-man hosts the free-kick went wide.

The remaining 10 minutes plus saw a gutsy defensive battle by the home team to survive and they recorded a very impressive 2-1 win that took them up to a comfortable mid-table position. This Saturday sees the Reserves travel to top-of-the-table Mundford in the league (2pm).

Kirkley and Pakefield A team made the short trip to Normanston Park to play high-flying Oulton Broad and returned pointless, after putting up a good display in losing 3-1.

The B team were at home on the Team Lauren Lou 3G Arena to Lowestoft and District Division Two Waveney A and had a great result, beating the leaders 2-1, This kept the B team in fourth place, just five points from the top.

Tomorrow the B team go to Corton Village to play second placed Hopton in the league, while the A team are at home on the TLL 3G Arena in the Mick Johnson League KO Cup against Division Two Beccles Caxton Reserves. Both matches have 2pm kick-offs.
