Kirkley & Pakefield FC notes

A NARROW defeat for The Royals as the fourth and fifth placed sides in the Ridgeons League clashed last Saturday at Stanway was followed by a torrential downpour and the postponement of Wednesday's clash at Walmer Road with Hadleigh United.

But with the K&P players and management kicking their heels in frustration, it also gave some of the returning first-teamers the chance to get refreshed ahead of arguably the 'biggest match in the history of our club,' according to commercial manager Dave Woodruff.

Tomorrow's trip to Hertfordshire for the eagerly-awaited FA Vase clash with Hoddesdon Town is being billed as a massive occasion for the club.

Travel arrangements for the match at Hoddesdon have been organised by Darren Bryant, of Premier Brickworks, and for details contact him on 07787 564 093.

'We need all the support that we can muster, so please make the effort - it will be worthwhile as we are going to progress into the next round!' Mr Woodruff said this week.

Following tomorrow's game, it is back to Ridgeons League action - weather permitting - and another scheduled home encounter at Walmer Road with rivals Wroxham on Wednesday, 7.45pm KO.

Tomorrow James Hutchinson's reserves side will be aiming to bounce back from last week's home draw as they take on former teammates Shane Ward and Jamie Stokeld at Bungay, 2pm KO.

Both the A and B teams are also away tomorrow (2pm KO) at Normanston Park and Dip Farm respectively as they take on Hearts of Oak and Norman Warrior.

The K&P youth team are back in action next Tuesday with an away match at Dereham,

Limited tickets remain for the club's Christmas Dinner with Bryan Gunn, with season ticket holders and supporters set to have their own Christmas buffet on Tuesday, December 22 from 7.30pm to late.
