L&Y got back to winning ways with a confident 15-man display at home to Billericay.

Billericay's big pack destroyed Wymondham the previous weekend but got little change out of the L&Y eight who all upped their performance and dominated the set pieces and breakdowns.

A great start and two scoring spells just before and after halftime took L&Y out of sight and the feisty Essex side didn't have the firepower to break back.

Kiwi fly-half Chez Bloxham kicked them in front with a penalty before young winger Daniel Boardley dived into the corner for a spectacular first try.

Billericay responded with a converted try out of nothing before adding a successful penalty for holding-on directly in front of the sticks.

But L&Y regrouped to create a try for Josh Fewkes and, just before the break, Howell claimed another, Bloxham converting.

In the second half two superb takes by fullback and man-of-the-match McAlone set up tries, the first for Boardley the second for himself.
