THE Blues maintained their aim of hitting the 100-point barrier in the Ridgeons League season with a victory over second-placed CRC last night.
There was plenty of goalmouth action as the top two teams met at the Crown Meadow. CRC appeared to be still on the bus as they allowed Richard Woodrow to put in a 25 yard up-and-under in the first minute.
CRC then exerted a small amount of pressure, but on 33 minutes Woodrow found Gary McGee and he finished well with a difficult lob to make it 2-0.
A minute before the break McGee created the same movement to take Town into a 3-0 lead.
In the second half Neil Plaskett fouled Ives and Marriot scored from the spot. There were two goals in stoppage time the first going to CRC with a 30 yarder from captain McCauley.
Town then regained their two goal advantage. Carl Poppy fed Bradley Hough who then found Russell Stock to complete the scoring with a volley to make it 4-2 in front of a 400 strong crowd.
