LOWESTOFT Town continue to inch towards the Ryman League Division One North title as they continued their travels with another four points.

Two hard working away performances brought a 2-0 victory at VCD Athletic and a 1-1 draw at Potters Bar Town.

The Blues continue on the road this week with a visit to Ilford tomorrow and then Brentwood Town on Tuesday evening.

The reserves finally completed their second round Chell Trophy tie away to Braintree Town Reserves recording a 4-3 victory that takes them into the quarter finals.

It was an excellent victory with the 14 man squad including 11 teenagers. The goals came from Carl Poppy, Joe Clark, Bradley Hough and Louis Cutajar.

On Tuesday evening the Reserves continued to close in on the leaders with a 3-0 victory over Dereham Town Reserves. Goals came from the experienced trio of Ross King, Bradley Hough and Matty Potter.

Tomorrow Kevin Gook's squad take on Woodbridge Town Reserves and then on Tuesday a re-arranged game sees them travel to the Wellesley to take on Gt Yarmouth Town Reserves in the quarter final of the Chell Trophy.

The Youth team were due to travel to Bungay Town Youth yesterday and next week are without a game.

George Gook showed commitment beyond the call of duty for the Under 17 side carrying on after breaking his nose to help his side, already short of numbers, to a 2-0 victory over Gorleston Rangers to take their divisional title.

Finally all at the Meadow send wishes for a full recovery and return to good health to Billy Slater, a member of the Blues Under 15 squad, who suffered an horrendous non-footballing injury last week which has almost certainly ended his budding football career.
