LOWESTOFT Town are on their travels again tonight as they head to Tilbury for their fifth game in 10 days.

The battle-weary Blues will be keen to return to winning ways and extend their lead at the top of Ryman League Division One North after their unfortunate 2-1 defeat to Brentwood on Tuesday.

Ultimately, the surprise reverse cost them nothing in the race for the league title as nearest rivals Concord Rangers were slipping up at Romford, leaving Town still two points clear with three games in hand. But Blues joint boss Ady Gallagher admitted he was frustrated with the outcome in a game his side totally dominated.

'People have to realise it was our fourth game in eight days and the players have run themselves into the ground and they've got five games in 10 days and then six in 12,' he said.

'People have to realise the lads work and four of our last six games have been away from home - it's a tough situation for people who have full-time jobs.

'It's frustrating to lose (to Brentwood) because Concord lost as well, but the reality is we've lost no ground.'

Victory tonight would hand the Blues a major boost before they return to Meadow to host Waltham Forest on Saturday.

But unsurprisingly, several players will not be in the squad tonight through injury and unavailability.

Jamie Godbold and Matty Potter are unable to make the trip to Essex, while Greg Crane and Adam Smith are not fit enough to travel.
