LOWESTOFT Town's attempts to take flight and get back to competitive action with an away trip to Concord in the Ryman League tomorrow (Saturday) have been grounded once more because of the wintry weather.

The Blues have made it an unwanted nap, as they have now seen five successive matches postponed.

The scheduled trip to Essex to take on Concord Rangers on Saturday, January 9 was postponed today because of a frozen pitch. “That makes it three weeks without any first team football and the future doesn't look any brighter,” a club spokesman said.

The provisional new date for this match with Concord has been set for Tuesday, March 2.

As yet, no decision has been made ahead of Lowestoft's next scheduled fixture in the Ryman League Division One North, which is due to be next Tuesday, January 12 with a 7.45pm kick off away at East Thurrock United - although this must already be in doubt.
