Lowestoft Town suffered a spectacular collapse at Stow on Saturday - but didn't lose any ground in their battle to avoid the drop in Division One of the Norfolk Alliance.

Playing an in-form Stow side they went from 85-1 to 97 all out as their last seven batsmen were all dismissed for ducks.

Adam Savoury (35), Natahan Garrod (23) and Tom Brice (24) had given them a solid start before Pete Brassett (5-19) and Otto Esse 4-12) wreaked havoc,

It was a cruise for Stow after that as the hosts got home in the 34th over without losing a wicket, with Will Denny unbeaten on 52 at the close.

The good news for Lowestoft was that the side immediately above them, Norwich A, also failed to pick up a point, so they remain just 20 ahead in the final safety spot, hving played one more match. Lowestoft have a must-win game at the Denes Oval tomorrow (1pm), with bottom of the table Mattishall providng the opposition.
