LOWESTOFT-based Luca McComb, seven, has become the youngest 3 Lions Gym member to win a kickboxing title.

The youngster beat Ryan Sinclair of the CKA Gym in Bury St Edmunds for the Eastern Counties 25 kilo and under junior title on points, showing superior boxing skills and a lot of aggression in a hard-fought bout.

LOWESTOFT-based Luca McComb, seven, has become the youngest 3 Lions Gym member to win a kickboxing title.

Coaches Dave Munro and Bin Tyler were extremely proud of the Lowestoft youngster who has won most of his bouts and last year travelled to and fought in Thailand as well.

The 3 Lions had a great night, with Bin Tyler successfully defending his British kickboxing title on points.

Liam Plant produced the Fight of the Night performance in his English Welterweight Thaiboxing Title defence against Bournemouth's Ning Jedemi, he knocked out the Thai National in the fourth round with a right cross.

Lowestoft-born Jade Munro, 12, who is the current WKA and WKMA British schoolgirl 45 kilo Thaiboxing champion, beat undefeated Scottish Champion Cassie Murdoch, 13, from Glasgow for the Commonwealth schoolgirl Thaiboxing Title with a points decision in a tough five-round battle.

There were also wins for local fighters Aaron Monson, Nicky McHugh, Tommy Bracken and Daniel Gordon.

It was a great night for the local kickboxers.

Junior training at the 3 Lions Gym is on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Everyone at 3 Lions would like to thank all their sponsors for making this event possible.
