October proved to be a month of marathon achievements for members of Lowestoft Road Runners.
Vanessa May travelled to Amsterdam for her first marathon and ran a consistent race to finish around halfway in the field in 5,741st with a time of 4-01:02.
On the same day Matthew Reynolds ran at the inaugural Birmingham International Marathon. He finished 1,547th with a time of 4-03:44. Also completing her first marathon Amanda Smith finished the Endurance Life Suffolk Coastal Marathon around Dunwich Heath in 41st in 4-45:56.
The following weekend saw Susan Perry finishing Chelmsford marathon in 3-44:00. Gary McDonald took on the Snowdonia Marathon for the third time, beating his previous best time with 4-05:40 for 622nd position.
Chris Haylock led the club home at the Holt 10k in 10th position in a new pb of 37:19. Matthew Reynolds (44:06) and John Drinkwater (56:01) also competed.
