Archant

Lowestoft Railway II record an emphatic 8-0 over Ipswich Cranes.

Railway made just one change to their starting line-up, with Chris Ward slotting into the centre of the defence.

John McNamara, playing in a more attacking position, scored inside the first minute and Ollie Payne added another two goals as the home side raced into a 3-0 lead after 10 minutes.

Matt Payne and Darren Raymont added to the tally before the interval and Railway continued the second half in much the same fashion.

McNamara completed his hat-trick with two more goals that demonstrated great positional awareness and John Wilkinson added another by converting a penalty corner. The defence of Peter Newnham, Matt Eagle, Chris Ward and Will Graham contained the Cranes forwards and the only time keeper Dick Alexander touched the ball was to retrieve it when it went out of play.
