Needing 318 to win, Norfolk ended their innings on 317 for eight, as the allotted overs ran out and the result was a scores level draw.

Earlier, Norwich opener Ben Patston smashed his first century for Norfolk ending on 107. Trevor Ward also hit out on his way to 46 as the opening pair put on 139 in quick time.

Requiring 318 to win from a minimum of 57 overs Norfolk promoted Trevor Ward to open the innings alongside Patston.

Chris Borrett ended 89 not out as Norfolk could not quite find the winning runs in an amazing final session.

In the morning session Liam Hughes and Kim Barnett built a record fifth wicket partnership for Staffordshire as they both posted centuries.

Hughes was dropped twice on his way to 184 not out while Barnett was on 126 at lunch.

Staffordshire declared on 413 for four at lunch leaving Norfolk chasing 318 to win.
