Oulton Broad top Lowestoft League after narrow win

In the Lowestoft & District Saturday League sponsored by Lauren Lou in aid of Cancer Research UK Oulton Broad beat Norton 1-0 win to go top of Division One.

In Division Two Beccles Caxton Reserves went three points clear at the top by beating Norton Reserves 5-2 with a hat-trick from Joe Plummer. Waveney A went third after beating Ellingham 3-1 away, Earsham Reserves beat Spexhall Reserves 2-1 away and Crusaders beat Kirkley & Pakefield B 6-4.

In Division Three Celt Rangers beat Gentleman’s Club 2-0 to stay top, Loddon Reserves are third after drawing 1-1 away to Carlton Colville Reserves, East Coast drew 2-2 with Hempnall while Redwood United, playing well this year, beat Hawthorn United 13-0 with N Catchpole and H George scoring a hat-trick each.

In the Suffolk Junior Cup Barsham beat First and Last 5-4 on penalties after a 4-4 draw. Mutford & Wrentham beat Oxford Arms 2-1 while Southwold beat Carlton 8-0.
