Prewer leads Lowestoft Road Runners home in Suffolk Winter League

Lowestoft Road Runners saw a record team attendance for the penultimate race of the season, held at Fritton Lake.
A total of 38 members, 20 men and 18 ladies, competed in cold, wet and muddy conditions around the three lap four and a half mile course.
This was a first cross country race for many of the club and a record turnout for the club. The overall field of 273 athletes comprised of 178 men and 95 ladies.
First home for the club in sixth was Carl Prewer with a time of 26:57 winning his age group, eighth Paul Lyon 28:04, 25th Tom Galley 29:50, 32nd John Jervis 30:05, 41st Leigh Butcher 31:02, 53rd Shaun Lark 31:47, 57th Matthew Sutton 31:57, 66th Tom Spalding 32:30, 70th Neil Bye 32:47, 89th Neil Wood 33.45, 100th Tom Collier 34:47.

Twelve members of Lowestoft Road Runners ran at Lowestoft Parkrun, including first finisher Tom Galley.
Personal bests were recorded by Ben Hodds, Matthew Wicks, Florence Ashdown, Emma Garrard and Regina Warford. John Jervis and Vicki Grice gave up their time to provide support to the event. Matthew Sutton was fifth at Gorleston parkrun.
