LOWESTOFT fielded an unchanged starting line up for the visit to Wisbech.

Jack Marsden and Darren Cockrill returned to the squad on the bench after completing their one match suspensions.

In a rare Wisbech attack they were awarded a free kick some 30 yards out from which they should have opened the scoring. McManus's free kick slammed against the underside of the bar and bounced out to the feet of Cobb no more than a yard from an open goal.

But Andy Reynolds spread himself to block the striker's poorly hit shot.

Wisbech were made to pay for that miss with Lowestoft taking the lead in the 31st minute.

Neil Plaskett and Jamie Godbold combined down the right and from the latter's low driven cross Reece Hunn arrived at the far post to stab the ball into the net.

It took the Blues just seven minutes to double their lead after the break.

Another surging run by Hunn earned a corner as his shot was deflected wide by Bennour and from Godbold's flag kick Damian Hilton collected the ball beyond the far post to return it into the middle where Hunn was again on hand to score.

Hunn was in irrepressible form and he laid on the third goal for Gary McGee in the 70th minute as his surging run through the centre and perfect lay off left McGee with the simple task of sidefooting the ball past the keeper.

With the game effectively won the Blues made a triple change bringing on Carl Poppy, Marcus Saunders and Jack Marsden and whilst they were adjusting, the ball was played through to Cubberley to shoot past Reynolds for the Fenmen's consolation goal.

MoM: Reece Hunn.

Town: Reynolds, Plaskett, Potter (sub Marsden 75), Woodrow (sub Poppy 75), McNeil, Hilton (sub Saunders 75), Godbold, Dale Cockrill, Stock, McGee, Hunn. Sub (not used): Darren Cockrill.

Felixstowe & Walton United 2, Lowestoft Town 3

MATTY Potter was given his first senior start since dislocating his shoulder back in August in place of the suspended Jack Marsden with the previously cup-tied Damian Hilton replacing Darren Cockrill.

From a corner Damian Hilton arrived at the far post to volley the ball home beyond Nower to give the Blues a second minute lead.

Totally against the run of play Felixstowe equalised with their first real attack in the 33rd minute.

Potter cut out a cross from Hammond at the expense of a corner and when the flag kick was played into the area a glancing header by Calver curled just inside the far post.

Lowestoft were stunned as Felixstowe took the lead two minutes after the break.

The goal stemmed from another right wing corner and this time Calver flashed a header just under the crossbar.

The Blues then took total control of the game but found Nower in inspired form.

The equalising goal that had been on the cards for most of the half eventually arrived in the 77th minute. Stock, who had won virtually every aerial duel in the game, turned provider as he moved out to the left to cross into the middle where Hilton touched the ball on to Godbold who raced past Blewer and shot past Nower into the net.

Four minutes later Felixstowe were reduced to 10 men when Calver received a second yellow card following a reckless tackle.

With five minutes left Lowestoft scored the winning goal they fully deserved.

Hunn played substitute Ally McKenna through the inside left channel only to be brought down in full flight by Frost and Dale Cockrill stepped up to slam the resultant penalty into the net.

MoM: Russell Stock.

Town: Reynolds, Plaskett, Potter, Woodrow (sub Poppy 71), McNeil (sub McKenna 75), Hilton, Godbold, Dale Cockrill, Stock, McGee (sub Saunders 85), Hunn.
