IPSWICH Town boss Roy Keane once again saw his side let victory slip through their grasp in agonising fashion at Sheffield United.

The Blades poached an injury-time equaliser, through skipper Chris Morgan, to secure a 3-3 draw and condemn Town to bottom spot in the Championship table.

“It should have been three points,” rued Keane.

“We again came so close, but not close enough. When you're 3-1 up so late in the game, you should see it through.

“But we conceded two really bad goals. It just wasn't the goals but the build up to them, when we gave the ball away cheaply.

“Like at Doncaster (also a 3-3 draw), we should have seen through the game. We're obviously disappointed, but I wouldn't say that it necessarily feels like a defeat.

“If we had been near the top of the table, then to get a draw at Sheffield United would have been seen as a good result. But we're not, we're at the bottom.

“I felt quite comfortable watching the game. I thought we expressed ourselves well and played really well in patches. We have to take these positives out of the game.

“The spirit is there, and if we had come back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3, then it would have been considered a good point.

“I just feel that we deserve that little bit of luck. I thought there should have been a whistle for their first goal (foul on Richard Wright), and it's these little things that are going against us.

“We haven't had the rub of the green this season,” added Keane.

Plymouth's win at Peterborough saw them leapfrog Town, who now face another trip to Yorkshire this Saturday for a key clash with Barnsley
