KIRKLEY and Pakefield continued their impressive start to the season with a comprehensive 4-0 win over visitors Cogenhoe on Saturday and set up an away tie at either St Ives or Soham Town Rangers in the next round of the FA Cup.

Kirkley took the game by the scruff of the neck and on only four minutes midfielder Ian Dawson unleashed a 30 yard volley that flew into the visitors net.

Home keeper Rob Woodcock, yet to concede at home this season, set up the second with a quick clearance to Stone who teed up Russell Stock for his first home goal since his signing from Lowestoft.

Substitute Scott Manning repeated the same type of goal as Dawson's opener to make it 3-0. Finally, in an impressive team display, sub Rory French chipped keeper Watts just before the finale whistle.
