Sailors at Waveney & Oulton Broad YC enjoyed glorious weather for the Laser and Single-hander open meeting and the Lady Mayhew all-comers race.

Richard Smith won all three races in the Laser event. Alan Cone was runner-up with Jonathan Jones taking third place.

In the Fast Handicap fleet, Duncan Madin sailed his K1 to victory, with the Streakers of Veronica Falat and Mark Langston taking second and third places. In the Slow Handicap fleet Geoff Ansdell won the first race in his Laser 4.7 but the overall winner was 11-year-old George Madin in his RS Tera Sport.

The following day Ben Falat established a good lead in his Phantom, finishing five minutes ahead of the next bunch of boats, but on corrected time he dropped to fourth. Alan Cone (Laser), Julian and Bethany Hood (National 12) and Veronica Falat (Streaker) finished within a few boats’ lengths of each other and the overall win went to Veronica.
