SATURDAY delivered a result that was really difficult to comprehend.

It was a game we dominated from start to finish, totally outplaying our hosts Whitton and creating chance after chance, which unfortunately we were not able to turn into goals.

We also committed the sin of gifting them a goal within the first three minutes of the game through some very slack defending. However even this poor start didn't provide any explanation as to why we missed in the region of 10 clear cut chances.

One of which was a penalty with 10 minutes left on the clock, which would have given us the certain win that we totally deserved.

You can get carried away with over-analysing performances and results but quite frankly in this case we need to just put this one down to experience and move on.

It will be a while before we create and miss as many chances in a game as we did at this one.

Tomorrow should hopefully see the return of a fit Ian Dawson but Justin Fox remains suspended.

Losing these two midfielders, along with the injury suffered by Bodie Carter who looks doubtful for the rest of the season, has been a real blow.

However, that is what the squad is for and those who have come in so far, have delivered.

The FA Vase is a competition we want to progress in and Norwich United will be a tough nut to crack.
