MANAGER Roy Keane has not written off the Ipswich Town futures of Owen Garvan and Jon Stead.

Neither were in the squad that lost 2-1 to Peterborough United in the second round of the Carling Cup at London Road last night.

And this follows Keane saying on Monday that one or two who disappointed in the 2-0 Championship defeat at West Brom at the weekend were highly unlikely to play for him again.

But an angry Keane snapped: “Colin Healy and Damien Delaney were not in my squad for the Hawthorns but they were back last night.

“You cannot write off the Ipswich careers of Owen (Garvan) and Jon (Stead) on the back of them not being at Peterborough.

“And I read that Alan Quinn was also on his way out. But he was in my team last night and he will back up that he has not been told I am thinking about letting him go.”
