Kirkley & Pakefield have a first ever meeting with Wivenhoe Town tomorrow in the Ridgeons League Premier Division at Walmer Road (3pm kick off).

This follows a pre match lunch for sponsors and friends in the club house.

On the pitch, Wivenhoe are going great guns after being relegated from the Rymans League last season as they currently sit in second place.

But off the field they appear to be in terminal meltdown with the sacking of manager Richard Carter compounding their problems last week.

There are no such problems for K&P at the moment as they keep their supporters on the edge of the seats right up to the 90th minute.

At present a full bill of health awaits the management with Ian Dawson the latest to have a run out during the week.

It was also good to see broken leg victim Bodie Carter having part of his leg now out of plaster.

There is no midweek game next week as K&P prepare for their biggest match for years the following week in the FA Vase at home to Dereham .

The Reserves travel to Horsford tomorrow looking to complete a quick double and on Tuesday night, 7.30pm KO, they have a spicy local derby with Sole Bay at Walmer Road.

The A team, after narrowly slipping out of the league cup in a game they dominated but ended up losing 3-2 away at Norton, will be looking to bounce back in the Junior Cup tomorrow.

They have a tough trip however, away to SIL side Wenhaston, 1.30pm KO.

The B team, after a fine win on penalties last week in the John Moore Shield, have a tough home match against league leaders Great Yarmouth Town Hall in the league tomorrow.

The youth team had no game this week and next Thursday they visit Wroxham.
