Waveney Valley AC’s Neeve enjoys his run along the prom

There was another bumper turn-out from Waveney Valley AC at race two of the Great Yarmouth 5-mile promenade series, which attracted a field of 367 in testing conditions.
Dylan Neeve, in his first 5-mile race for Waveney, was the first to finish for the club in 19th place in 29:57. Harriet Lyman won first junior girl trophy in a time of 33:38.
There were personal best recorded by Daniel Harris (31:56), Billy Underdown (33:45), Matt Baldry (34:06), Daniel Critoph (39:19), Louise Harrod (42:36), Jayne Richardson (44:44), Emma Branch (47:41) and Kirsty Howe (49:20).
Sam Lines was a trophy winner at race one of this year’s Wroxham 5k series. She finished 67th from a field of 594 competitors, and third lady, in a personal best time of 18:32.
Mark Smith completed his fourth marathon in his challenge of 10 for this year in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
He took one the toughest races in the UK, the Asics Brathay Windermere event, and recorded a time of 4:44.25.
