K&P's popular annual sportsman's evening takes place on Friday, May 7 and it promises to be “a right Royal occasion!”

The K&P Royals have organised a sell-out event with former Tottenham and Liverpool legend Neil Ruddock as special guest alongside a top comedian.

The evening will be held at the club's Walmer Road ground, in a special marquee, and you can join The Journal on a table for the evening as there are TWO pairs of tickets, worth £80 a pair, up for grabs.

Defender Ruddock - known as Razor - was renowned as a football hard man…. but now he is one of the most popular after dinner speakers on the circuit.

With stories from his footballing life described as “hilarious” he also has many tales from his time in I'm a Celebrity Get Me out Of Here.

Graeme Souness signed Ruddock from Tottenham Hotspur in 1993 for £2.5 million and he went on to play his part in the club winning the Coca Cola Cup.

Ruddock finished his playing career as player-coach assisting Roy Evans at Swindon Town, and he is now a popular figure on the after dinner speaking circuit raising money for clubs up and down the country.

K&P commercial manager Dave Woodruff said: “Previous sportsman's evening's have been brilliant but this year will be even better - it will be a right Royal occasion!”

Tickets include a three course meal, wine and the opportunity to meet Ruddock.
