A YOUNG Blues side, missing several first team players, more than matched their senior opponents last night as they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Kings Lynn Reserves.

The Blues rested several first team players before Saturday's big FA Vase game, but did managers Mickey Chapman and Adie Gallagher proud with a plucky performance.

Kings Lynn Reserves were boosted by five first teamers and this added experience helped them take a 1-0 lead.

Richard Woodrow equalised from the penalty spot, but the Blues would leave The Walks empty handed as the Linnets scored again to make it 2-1.
