Doctor Who and Archers actor to talk at Southwold Arts Festival

With the start of Southwold Arts Festival only a few days away, time travel and farming become surprisingly linked for a talk at the festival.
Terry Molloy, who has had a lifetime in the acting profession with roles as diverse as Mike Tucker in the long running radio drama The Archers to Dalek leader Davros in Doctor Who, will be discussing his career and his new book on Monday, June 25.
As well as Doctor Who and The Archers, Mr Molloy has appeared on TV in Oliver Twist, the Bill, and Casualty, and to add another skill he also played saxophone in a soul band during the 60s.
Based in Norwich, he now dedicates much of his time to appearing at Doctor Who conventions and writing a children's book called Montmorency Montgomery Bear.
His talk at the festival us called Behind the microphone, behind the mask, and will tell the story of his remarkable career working in radio and television.

Mr Molloy joined the cast of The Archers, which is the world's longest running radio drama with more than 19,000 episodes since 1950, as the milkman in 1973 and in the programme he has a son Roy, daughter Brenda and wife Hayley.
The Tuckers moved to Ambridge from Birmingham, Terry's birthplace in real life, and at the festival all Archers addicts will have the opportunity of meeting one of the programme's longest serving and most popular cast members.

Mr Molloy's talk will be at the festival from 3pm on Monday, June 25.
On the same day at the festival Alistair Carr, a Suffolk-based author, artist and explorer will give a talk at 11am about his journey across Niger's Sahel during the Second Tuareg Rebellion through a landscape where no Westerner had been seen in living memory.
Andy McConnell from Antiques Roadshow will give his talk on the story of wine and its glasses from 7.30pm, with a young musicians' showcase at United Reformed Church at 1.15pm to 2pm with Benjamin Hewat-Craw and Yuhao Guo presenting the first half of Franz Schubert's Winterreise.
