A RESPECTED trumpet player who pushes jazz into uncharted areas will perform at Milestones Jazz Club this Sunday.

Loz Speyer's Inner Space Music draws on the influences of Ornette Coleman, Thelonious Monk, Steve Lacy and Dave Holland, the rhythms of Cuba and qigong philosophy to make a sound that is hard to pin down.

While the band's music is technically brilliant, it always remains accessible and warm, treading a fine line between the composed and the improvised.

Loz has long been a respected musician on the London jazz scene appearing around the UK and at prestigious venues like The Vortex and Ronnie Scott's Club in London. Alongside him are Rachel Musson on tenor/soprano sax, Olie Brice on double bass and Graham Fox on drums.

The band will be performing at the Hotel Hatfield in Lowestoft at 8pm. Admission is 7 and 6 for concessions.
