LOWESTOFT-based singer/songwriter John Ward releases his sixth album within the next couple of weeks.
This album follows his 2008 release, Praying For The Alien and is a collection of John's own songs and those he has compiled over the years from and about the eastern fringe of East Anglia.
Entitled East of the Sunrise, the new album contains 14 tracks, mostly John's original songs, but also with some traditional music from the area. As always, the album will showcase the formidable skills of John's long standing musical partner, Mario Price, on violin. Several of the songs have been in John's live repertoire for a while now and have become requested favourites with audiences. The broad subject matter ranges from Dunwich (the lost city), to the prostitutes of old Yarmouth. The new album will cost 8 at gigs.
