Crumbs for Comfort, Big Red Boat, My Sweet Surrender and Sean Clack will all perform for judges at the Live and Unsigned regional final at the Corn Exchange in Ipswich on April 10 after being singled out in the preliminary auditions in Ipswich on Saturday.
Crumbs for Comfort are a six piece acoustic folk rock band based across Norwich, Ely and Lowestoft.
Alex Brown, Ben Chenery, Robert Vincent, Richard Thompson, Liam Brown and Jamie Scott write songs about the beauty and history of the East Anglian coastline, and it was their song Lowestoft Bay which impressed the judges in Ipswich.
The song is about the downfall of the Lowestoft fishing industry and is a favourite at the Triangle Tavern where they regularly play.
Big Red Boat are a five-piece acoustic folk, blues, rock act from Lowestoft. They are well-known across the region's music scene for their charity events, having helped to organise a showcase for the Big C Appeal and Parkinson's Disease Society and taken part in K Fest.
My Sweet Surrender are a four piece punk rock band from Carlton Colville. Alex Masse and Chris D'Amore, from Kirkley High School, Tom Annis, from St Felix in Reydon, and Will Catling, for Sir John Leman in Beccles, are all 15 years old.
Their influences include Green Day, Snow Patrol, Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance.
Sean Clack from Hopton impressed the judges with his song Decision Time. The father of two regularly performs at pubs and clubs across the area, citing his influences as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits and Oasis.
The artists all battled against hundreds of fellow hopefuls to secure their spot in the regional final, and now have the chance to win a spot in the grand final, which will be held at the O2 Arena in London. There they will have the chance to win a recording and management contract with Future Music.
