ALL roads lead to Pakefield this Sunday as the popular Lowestoft Country Music Festival takes centre stage.

And for one performer it will prove to be a very long trip - with not too much time to spare!

Nathan Carter, Ireland's newest and brightest young singing star is performing at a hotel in Donegal on the west coast on Saturday before heading straight to Lowestoft when this gig finishes.

He will then embark on a 600 mile journey to join other performers including Nashville Sounds, Frank McCaffrey and Kevin Barry on the stage at Pontins Holiday Centre in Pakefield.

In contrast, Kevin Barry has the shortest journey of all - with a trip of just a couple of miles from his Kessingland home to the venue.

With the music starting at 1pm and going on through the day until 9pm the audience will have plenty of time to appreciate the efforts of the entertainers travelling to Pakefield to play for them.

Admission is 10 for adults and accompanied children are free. Tickets will be available at the door or by calling 01986 873854, 07903 137 059.

Apart from the music there are also all-day bar and catering facilities, trade stalls, a raffle and a large free car park - together with a huge dance floor for line dancing.

All profits from the festival will go to the Friends of Lowestoft Hospital.
