THE Seagull Theatre, in Pakefield, maintains is reputation for staging quality plays tonight (Friday, April 23) when Harold Pinter's debut work, The Birthday Party is performed.

In this SM production, two mysterious strangers arrive at a seaside guest house and begin a series of alarming party games. Prepare to be challenged, thrilled and entertained by this celebration of a most significant plays in modern British theatre, which starts at 7.30pm, with tickets costing �8/�6.50.

Tomorrow (Saturday, April 24) sees the welcome return of the Old Tyme Music Hall at 7.30pm - so prepare for a great evening of family entertainment - with tickets costing �5.

Locals are being encouraged to book early for the first visit to the Seagull of Winston the Singing Farmer on Friday, April 30 at 7.30pm. Winston has been entertaining audiences for nearly 20 years with his own style of music and comedy drawn from life in his beloved Norfolk. Tickets cost �10/�9.

On Sunday, May 2 at 7.45pm the Seagull hosts an evening of original poetry and songs performed by local writers and musicians. This evening is being held in the theatre and we're aiming for an atmosphere which is both informal and attentive.
