The Lowestoft Players have this week been supported by John Grose Ford by hosting a West End stage prop of a replica Mk II Ford Cortina.

John Grose Group offered the Players a prime position in their Lowestoft showroom to help promote their upcoming production of 'Made In Dagenham'.

The prop vehicle was commissioned for the West End music production in 2014 and has been a point of interest for many visitors to the showroom this week. A Players spokesman said: 'Most of the car is built from fibreglass with original features such as the steering wheel and door handle. It is totally electric allowing it to be driven around the stage. We are thrilled to have been able to promote our show using this'.

The musical 'Made In Dagenham' is based around the Ford womens worker strikes at the Dagenham plant in 1968 while the Ford Cortina was being produced.

The Players production opens next week, September 20 with tickets available at www.playerstheatre.info or via 01502 770020.
