THE Seagull Theatre will be flying high this weekend as the Pakefield venue is filled with the sounds of the 1930s.
Tomorrow Katrina Beckford returns to the birthplace of her career with her moving and powerful interpretation of the life and music of Billie Holiday.
God Bless the Child - an evening with Billie Holiday sees Katrina, as Billie Holiday, take the audience on an intimate and personal journey, from a misspent youth in Baltimore through to the lavish jazz joints of 1930's Harlem.
The show received rave reviews at the Edinburgh Festival last year and returns to the Seagull by popular demand after impressing audiences in October.
On Sunday, local singer Tamsin Palmer was due to perform in the foyer but this has had to be cancelled.
Next weekend the theatre will welcome acclaimed acoustic folk duo Horses Brawl and Cameron Stewart's one-man show My Grandfather's Great War.
The poignant one man show sees actor Cameron Stewart bring a host of characters to life as he lovingly recreates his grandfather's diaries during the war.
