THE celebrations marking 21 years since Lowestoft's Marina Theatre was saved from demolition and re-opened as a civic theatre and cinema continue tonight with a special performance by Des O'Connor.

Tomorrow Leah Bell stars as Calamity Jane in one of the most popular musicals of all time. Leah gives a rip-roaring performance as Calamity and is ably supported by her fellow gunslingers, cow-punchers, cowgirls and cowboys, to make this a high energy, toe tapping and thigh slapping production.

Sunday evening brings a sell out performance featuring the psychic abilities of Colin Fry.

The Marina big screen presents a final extra showing of recent hit The Time Travellers Wife (12A) on Monday followed by Gamer (18) starring Gerard Butler, Michael C Hall and Amber Valletta, on Tuesday.

Wednesday reunites some giants of the rock world as Focus and Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash are joined by the Acoustic Strawbs.

Rounding off the week, Damian Williams returns in the national tour of hilarious farce Who Goes Bare?

In Who Goes Bare? Damian plays Eddie Manchip owner of a somewhat ailing country health club in a decaying country mansion.

When Eddie signs away the deeds of the house to a sinister crook, in payment of his gambling debts, chaos ensues.

Soon, his staff desert, leaving only a half-witted, hysterical maid to keep company with his erring and pompous brother and suspicious wife, a tennis player with a habit of removing her clothes, thinking it is a nudist colony, her kilted Scottish husband and a hearty Oxfam Volunteer who simply "collects" any clothing left unguarded.

The comedy, written by Richard Harris, will run from Thursday to Saturday, October 25.

The Hollywood Cinema, in London Road South, is screening Triangle (15). It is a brand new horror movie starring Melissa George.
