LOWESTOFT'S Marina Theatre presents the penultimate concert of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's 2008 residency tonight.

Stephen Bell will conduct the spectacular Tchaikovsky Gala that features international soloist Tasmin Waley Cohen. Just a few seats are still available for this evening's programme, which includes the composer's Violin Concerto, Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, The Waltz of the Flowers from the Nutcracker and the Sleeping Beauty Suite.

Tomorrow brings the final scheduled screening of the hit movie Mamma Mia! (PG). Unprecedented demand for seats for the ABBA musical saw the Marina recently announce even more screenings as it smashed all previous box office records.

Over 13,000 people have seen the film at the Marina since it began a few weeks ago, initially just for a seven-day run, and tomorrow a special fancy dress competition is being held to mark the final showing.

Meryl Streep leads an all-star cast in the musical, which brings the timeless lyrics and melodies of iconic super group ABBA to the big screen. The special final screening takes place at 8pm.

Supported by The Journal, the final evening kicks off with the doors opening at 7pm and the fancy dress judging from 7.30pm. As with all Marina films, admission to see Mamma Mia! is £2.50 for over-60s and children, with full price tickets at £3.50.

Other top class entertainment lined up during September includes the eagerly awaited return of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which runs for just 12 performances from Monday, September 29.

For more information or to book seats for any Marina Theatre concert, movie or show telephone the box office on 01502 533200.
