WAVENEY Light Opera Group is inviting shipmates to come and join the crew of their latest production Treasure Island.

Anyone who enjoys singing and is aged between 11 and 70 years old is invited to come aboard, with no plank walking experience required.

Treasure Island is a jolly musical adventure on the high seas, with modern and upbeat music. It is a recreation of the well known classic tale by Robert Louis Stevenson, including all of the original characters together with a few irreverent additions.

Chorus rehearsals take place in the Friends Meeting House, Beccles on Monday nights at 7.30 pm, with prospective pirates invited along. For details contact musical director Chris Steed on 01502 710628.

The musical will be performed at Beccles Public Hall from April 16 - 19 and advanced ticket bookings can be made on 01502 712329.
