A TWENTY-PIECE big band special takes place at Milestones Jazz Club this Sunday.

One of the region's finest big bands Horn Factory will be playing their dynamic music at the club, in a rare chance to see them perform in an intimate setting.

The big band was initiated by former National Youth Jazz Club Orchestra saxophonist Gilly Burgoyne in 1998, and is made up of 20 of the finest jazz musicians from the region. Under the direction of Rob Rogers, there are five saxophones, five trumpets, four trombones and a six-piece rhythm section.

The group's varied repertoire reflects the rich history of big band jazz from Count Basie, Stan Kenton and Buddy Rich to contemporary material by Pat Metheny and Michel Camilo.

Horn Factory will be at the Hotel Hatfield, in Lowestoft, on Sunday at 8pm. Admission is £7 or £6 for concessions.
