Kicking off a packed schedule, The Zookeeper’s Wife (12A) will be showcased at 2.30pm and 7.30pm today (Friday, May 26).

Starring two-time Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain, the film is a real-life story of a working wife and mother who became a hero to hundreds during the Second World War.

The Promise (12A) will be screened two further times tomorrow (Saturday, May 27) at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Oscar Isaac, Christian Bale and Charlotte le Bon star in a film where promises are made and promises are broken.

Continuing the big screen entertainment, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 (12A) will be screened six times next week. Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Groot are back in a cosmos-spanning adventure to try and track down Peter Quill’s mysterious father at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Monday, May 29, Tuesday, May 30 and Wednesday, May 31.

Attention then turns to what is sure to be a popular family film - Peppa Pig: My First Cinema Experience (U).

It will be shown at 10.30am on Tuesday, May 30 and Wednesday, May 31 – and also at 10.30am and 2.30pm on Saturday, June 3.

Join Peppa in this exciting new preschool cinema experience, with plenty of snorts, giggles and jumping up and down in muddy puddles!

The week concludes with T Rextasy: The 40th Commemorative Anniversary Tour next Friday, June 2 at 7.30pm.

Marc Bolan, with his band T Rex, was one of the most flamboyant and charismatic stars of the original glam rock era. With Bolan’s special ingredient of Rock-a-Boogie songs throughout the 1970s including ‘Telegram Sam’ and ‘Jeepster’ he was able to obtain what would be yet another top 20 record in 1976 that has since become one of the most memorable and everlasting signature tunes, ‘I Love to Boogie’.

The whole family will enjoy the experience of being transported back to the 70s to re-live the experience of attending a Marc Bolan concert live.

Tickets cost £20.50, concessions £19.50.
