Busy schedule continues at venue

A new play by local writer John Hales - The Response - is being given a “work in progress” rehearsed reading as a busy week begins at the Seagull Theatre in Pakefield.

On Thursday and Friday, February 1/2, at 7.30pm, The Response, will be performed at the venue.

The play deals with some dark themes following the 7/7 London bombings and includes material which makes it only suitable for an audience aged 15 and above.

Each performance is followed by a Q&A session. Admission is free but tickets are limited so contact the theatre in advance if you are hoping to attend.

On Saturday, February 3, at 7.30pm BLAH LGBT Youth Project present ‘Stories From Across The Kitchen Table’. Hear the coming out stories of local everyday people. Tickets cost £5.

On Sunday, February 4, at 7.30pm, the Seagull Community Choir present ‘An Evening With Burt Bacharach’. Come along and enjoy a delightful evening of well-loved classics. Tickets £6/£5.

Next Wednesday, February 7 and Thursday, February 8, at 7.30pm, Clown Gathering UK 2018 presents a show like no other. Every year some of the finest performers from all over the world congregate on Lowestoft to present two unique shows. Almost two hours of entertainment from an international cast who perform in all manner of venues. Join us for jaw-dropping spectacles, laughs out loud, gentle humour, mystical magic, high paced juggling, tender moments and utter nonsense.

Tickets cost £7 or £20 for a family ticket.

On Tuesday, February 13 at 11am and again at 1pm Foolhardy Circus offer children’s circus skills workshops. Children are encouraged to try out traditional circus props. It is all quite safe but also great fun. Tickets £3.

Also on Tuesday, at 2pm, the Infamous Foolhardy clowns return with their latest show. Suitable for ages 2-99. Tickets cost £6.
