Musical shows and big screen entertainment are on the bill at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft in the week ahead.

The busy schedule begins with Phantom Thread (15) – a film which is set in the glamour of 1950’s post-war London.

Phantom Thread is Paul Thomas Anderson’s eighth movie, and his second collaboration with Daniel Day-Lewis. It will be shown at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on March 9, March 10 and March 11 and also at 2.30pm on March 12 and 13.

Next up is an exciting celebration of music-making as musicians from Lowestoft County Music School, North Suffolk Youth Concert Band, North Suffolk Youth String Ensemble and Stradbroke Bands combine forces.

The Suffolk Youth Music Gala Concert takes place next Thursday, March 15 at 7pm.

Aged between nine and 19, members of each of these ensembles meet weekly during term time as part of Suffolk County Music Service’s Suffolk Youth Music (SYM) programme. Full price tickets cost £7, child/students £5.

The week concludes with Beyond the Barricade at 7.30pm next Friday, March 16.

Recreating original West End/Broadway musical hit songs with amazing authenticity, this cast of past principal performers from Les Miserables, present a blockbusting two hour show.
