MILESTONES Jazz Club will be welcoming a new band to their regular sessions in Lowestoft on Sunday.

Alto and soprano saxophonist Carlos Lopez Real will bring his band Mandorla to the Hotel Hatfield.

Carlos' music is inspired by Bartok, Steve Reich and Indian music as much as John Coltrane, Weather Report, John McLaughlin and modern jazz.

Mandorla's originals retain a tight focus and gig-goers can expect lyrical and passionate melodies, global dance rhythms, grooves and high-level interaction between some of London's top improvising musicians.

The band's full line-up includes Simon Colam on piano, Jez Franks on guitars, Oli Hayhurst on double bass, Jon Scott on drums and Carlos.

Doors open at 8pm and admission is £7 and £6 for concessions.
